What is Galentine’s Day?

Galentine’s Day is a 1-day solo CrossFit competition on Saturday February 7, 2026. The competition will feature 3 classic Girls workouts and 3 divisions (RX, Intermediate, and Scaled).

The 2026 workouts will be released gradually over the month of January, so please make sure to check back here and/or over on our Instagram page (@gardencitygames) regularly!


Where will Galentine’s Day be held?

The 2026 Galentine’s Day will be held at CrossFit Vic City (771 Vernon Ave, unit #501). The event will be indoor-only.

How much is registration?

Registration is $38.40 ($35 registration + $3.40 platform fee)


What are the division standards?

You can check out our division standards below! This is not an exhaustive list and is to show how workouts could be scaled. Please note you should be able to manage the below barbell weights for multiple reps. No workouts will have weights heavier than the weights listed.

Anything else I should know about?

Doors will open at 8:00 and we will have dedicated space for you to warm up. Please be considerate of each other and share the warm-up space and equipment.

A physical sign-up sheet for the heat schedule will be posted at the event space at 8:30 on competition day. Each heat will have 3 slots per workout. It is the athlete’s responsibility to make sure they are signed up and judged for all 3 workouts before the end of the day.

We have very little capacity to move you to another heat slot, and no capacity for redo’s.

We will have prizes for Top 3 finishes!

We will not be running a concession for this event. Please prepare accordingly or consider supporting one of our food-vending neighbours (Yoshi Sushi, Big Wheel Burger, Starbucks)!

VOLUNTEER INFO

What type of volunteer are you looking for at the Galentine’s Day event?

We are looking for judges for this event. Whether you’ve had prior experience or this will be your first time, we welcome all who would like to join our Galentine’s Day team!


What is the schedule for volunteering?

Upon signing up to volunteer, you will be presented with 3 options for volunteer scheduling:

9:00-12:00 (AM shift) – You will be asked to judge from 9:00-12:00. We will have “All-Day” volunteers available whenever you need a substitute.

12:30-15:30 (PM shift) – You will be asked to judge from 12:30-15:30. We will have “All-Day” volunteers available whenever you need a substitute.

All Day – You will be available between 9:00-15:30 (or whatever you specified when signing up) to sub in or cover a lane.


Will there be a training session for volunteers?

No. We will, however, be posting videos that will cover standards for each and every movement in the 3 workouts. We are also available to answer any questions so please reach out to us by email (info@gardencitygames.ca) or on Instagram (@gardencitygames).

Please note that all judges should be comfortable with all 3 workouts for Galentine’s Day and be ready to move around to different stations as needed. We thank you for your accommodation and appreciate your time and effort!


What’s the food situation for volunteers on Galentine’s Day?

Along with some special treats specially made by Teddy Gopaloo, we will also have a water station, some snacks, fresh fruit, and a pizza lunch. We apologize in advance, but we won’t be able to accommodate any food allergies or preferences for this event.
