WOD 2: ANY WAY YOU WANT IT
| ALL DIVISIONS Part A: 3 minutes to establish a 1 rep max snatch. Rest 1 minute Part B: 3 minutes to accumulate as many hang snatches as possible. Barbell weight will be 50% of your 1 rep max lift from Part A. 3 burpee-over-bar must be performed each time the barbell touches the ground. NOTE: Part A and B will be scored separately |
NOTES
Please review the movement standards prior to Games day; you can find them listed below. You will be assigned a lane with a barbell and weight plates. Athletes are in charge of adding and stripping down their barbells, as well as confirming the weight on their barbells with their judge.
THE STANDARDS
Snatch
A rep begins with the barbell on the ground where it must travel to the overhead position without contact with the shoulders or bending of the arms.

Athletes may perform a strict, power, or full snatch. The rep is counted when the body reaches full extension at the top of the snatch movement. Failure to do so will result in a no rep.


Hang Snatch
The first rep begins with the barbell on the ground before the athlete raises the barbell to the top of a deadlift position. A snatch from the ground is considered a no rep.

From the top of the deadlift, athletes can start their hang snatch attempt(s). A strict, power, or full snatch can be performed. The rep is counted when the body reaches full extension at the top of the snatch movement. When chaining repetitions together, ensure that the barbell does not touch the ground. Failure to do so will result in a no rep.
