IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR GAMES DAY

ATHLETE REGISTRATION

Athlete Registration will open on Saturday May 16, 2026 at 7:00 am and close on Tuesday June 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm. There are no maximums to division size and we will handle all registration on a first-come-first-served basis.

For those who want to register for the 2026 GCG after the deadline, you will need to email us at info@gardencitygames.ca and we will do our best to accommodate. Please note we cannot guarantee a swag bag or a spot, and requests will be handled on a first-come-first-served basis.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

Those of you wanting to volunteer can sign up RIGHT NOW! Head on over to Competition Corner, sign up, and join our amazing team!

We will be updating and posting a Volunteers Information page soon.

GAMES DAY

Heat 1 (Scaled Men) will start promptly at 9:00 am. For those in the Scaled Men division travelling to Victoria morning of the Games please let us know and we will make sure you’re not in heat 1 (or 2).

We will do our very best to wrap up the Games before 6:00 pm. If you’re worried about ferry reservations we suggest booking a spot for 7:00 pm and later.

ATHLETE CHECK-IN will start at 8:00 am. Please make your way to the concession table (located inside the gym), check-in with Allie and get your swag bag. Once you’re checked-in and have received your swag bag please make yourself comfortable and set up your tents, chairs, and towels in the Athletes Village located directly outside the gym.

VOLUNTEERS can grab their swag bags at 7:45 am to accommodate for your training session at 8:00 am. Please note there will be a group photo of the GCG committee and volunteers at 8:45 am!

HEAT SCHEDULE

Heat schedules will be posted approximately 7-12 days before the Games. We will announce it on Instagram, as well as send an email out to all athletes and volunteers. You’ll be able to check yourself over on Competition Corner as well!

THE SCOOP ON PARKING

Like in years past we ask that you not park in the area boxed off in red in the map on the left. Our neighbours in the food industry need these spots for their patrons and we do not want to get in the way of their operations!
